Transformative Victorian project: first major footprint for ZÜBLIN Ground Engineering in Australia

More renewable energy from hydropower: Refurbishment work at an altitude of 1,700 metres

The energy transition requires high-capacity storage solutions. The Wurtenspeicher is the centrepiece of Kelag’s Fragant power station complex in the Mölltal valley, situated at 1,700 metres above sea level. The dam is being raised by seven metres, thereby almost doubling its storage capacity from 2.7 to 5 million cubic metres of water. Facilities such as the Wurtenspeicher can effectively compensate for grid fluctuations – an important contribution to a sustainable energy supply in Carinthia.

Ground-breaking ceremony for new educational campus: modern learning environment for 1,600 children in Vienna

The first project in the new Nordwestbahnhof development is taking shape: a modern educational campus in Rebhanngasse that will create space for 1,600 children. The new build is being delivered as a public-private partnership (PPP), encompassing design, construction and long-term building operation as well as financing by HYPO NOE, STRABAG Real Estate and CAVERION. The consortium emerged as the preferred bidder in the City of Vienna’s procurement process.
