Successful acquisition in infrastructure expansion in southern Germany

Strong partnership for German infrastructure development: Stumpp is now part of the STRABAG Group

Successful closing of the Stumpp takeover
Acquisition strengthens infrastructure construction and regional presence in southern Germany

STRABAG has successfully completed the acquisition of Gebr. Stumpp GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Balingen. With this step, STRABAG is expanding its capacities in infrastructure construction and strengthening its presence in the region between Germany’s Black Forest and Lake Constance.
The Stumpp Group now contributes its extensive expertise in road construction and civil engineering to STRABAG, covering a broad range of services from earthworks to sewer and pipeline construction. The acquisition also includes an asphalt mixing plant operated by Stumpp as well as holdings in gravel works, thereby creating an important basis for further growth for STRABAG in the region.

With the successful closing of the acquisition of Stumpp, we are strategically strengthening our infrastructure expertise in Germany. We are very pleased to welcome our new colleagues to our team and look forward to jointly pushing ahead the expansion of infrastructure in southern Germany.

With immediate effect, the company and its 300 employees, with an annual revenue of around € 90 million, are now part of STRABAG AG, Cologne, and are thus assigned to the North + West segment of STRABAG SE.
The parties have agreed not to disclose details as to the purchase price.
