2026 EcoVadis Rating: STRABAG receives Gold Medal for its ESG commitment for first time

EcoVadis awards STRABAG with Gold Medal

With an overall score of 87 out of 100, STRABAG has earned a Gold Medal in the latest EcoVadis Sustainability Ratings Index. The result places STRABAG among the top 5% of companies assessed by EcoVadis over the past 12 months.

In its ratings, EcoVadis evaluates sustainability criteria across four key themes: environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. The assessment examines how well a company has integrated the principles of sustainability into its business and management systems. Thanks to the systematic optimisation of its internal processes and standards, STRABAG made progress in all four areas.

Key factors behind the significant improvement include STRABAG’s short-term emissions reduction targets, which have been officially validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). In the realm of social and governance, STRABAG continued to expand its various training programmes and stakeholder engagement formats and broadened its Environmental and Energy Policy to cover key topics such as water and biodiversity.

STRABAG's first-ever EcoVadis Gold Medal underlines the progress we have made in terms of sustainability. Sustainability is firmly embedded in our corporate strategy and the significant improvement in our rating confirms the effectiveness of our measures. We are proud of this achievement and see the award as an incentive to continue along our current path.

STRABAG actively participates in the ESG ratings conducted by CDP, ISS ESG and EcoVadis. Assessments by these rating agencies offer an objective evaluation of STRABAG’s sustainability performance across environmental, social and governance dimensions and provide stakeholders with greater transparency regarding the Group’s sustainability initiatives.
