STRABAG subsidiary ZÜBLIN, together with ZECH Bau, has been awarded the contract for the turnkey construction of NRW.BANK’s new headquarters on Haroldstraße in Düsseldorf’s government quarter. Commissioned by NRW.BANK, the project represents an architecturally outstanding ensemble with a total gross floor area of around 91,000 square metres and a contract volume in the mid three-digit million range.

The office complex was designed by the Düsseldorf and Hamburg architectural partnership of Paul Raphael Schägner and Felix Miller-Behnecke, together with the renowned practice Winking Froh Architekten.
  • We are very pleased with the trust placed in us by NRW.BANK and the opportunity to realise this forward-looking project together. The combination of sophisticated architecture and stringent sustainability requirements makes this new building a particularly special large-scale project for us.

The new complex will accommodate around 1,400 modern workplaces, special-use areas and a public café. It is designed to achieve DGNB Platinum certification and meets the highest standards for technical building services, especially with regard to NRW.BANK’s strict security requirements. Completion is scheduled for April 2030, with shell construction due to begin in summer 2026.
