26 May 2023
- Certification to ISO 37001 (Anti-Bribery Management Systems) and ISO 37301 (Compliance Management System)
- Valid for all fully consolidated companies
- STRABAG first globally active Austrian group with such overall certification
Vienna, 26 May 2023 STRABAG SE, the publicly listed European technology group for construction services, has further strengthened its business compliance system. The company was certified by Austrian Standards to ISO 37001 (Anti-Bribery Management Systems) and ISO 37301 (Compliance Management Systems). The certification is valid for all fully consolidated companies. This makes STRABAG the first globally active Austrian company to achieve such an overall certification.
“This certification is proof from an external, accredited body that the STRABAG Group has an appropriate compliance management system and a functioning anti-bribery system in place for all fully consolidated companies of the STRABAG Group worldwide,” explains Klemens Haselsteiner, CEO of STRABAG SE. Further audits will follow in the coming years to maintain the certification.
The group-wide certification is a significant milestone and the preliminary culmination of the extensive business compliance measures taken by the Group since the cartel infringement by the Austrian companies STRABAG AG and Lang und Menhofer came to light in 2017.
In addition to clear processes and management systems as well as external monitoring and certification, the company is also focusing strongly on raising awareness of the issue among all its employees with mandatory business compliance training and informational campaigns.
Detailed information on the STRABAG Group’s business compliance management system and on other anti-corruption initiatives implemented within the Group can be found in the current 2022 Annual Report in the chapter “Fair Competition” starting on page 102.
