STRABAG Group presents the latest trends for building the future
10 September 2019
- STRABAG Innovation Day 2019: interactive exhibition at the ZÜBLIN Campus in Stuttgart
- From BIM 5D® through teamconcept to ClAir® Asphalt: innovative processes and products for the entire spectrum of construction
Stuttgart, 10 September 2019-----The latest trends for building tomorrow will be the focus of the STRABAG Innovation Day 2019 at the ZÜBLIN Campus in Stuttgart. As one of the leading construction groups in Europe, STRABAG SE sees itself as a driver of innovation in the industry. At the comprehensive interactive exhibition, teams from STRABAG AG, Ed. Züblin AG and other group companies are featuring innovative products and processes for the entire spectrum of construction – in transportation infrastructures, building construction and civil engineering. Visitors can experience how to systematically optimise building processes with digital tools, they can inform themselves about the pollutant-reducing ClAir® Asphalt, resource-saving textile concrete façades or PM-absorbing moss wall modules (MoosTex) and gain vivid insights into the use of augmented reality and robotics in the construction industry.
Focus on digitalisation and sustainability
“This exhibition provides a good overview of the performance and innovative potential of STRABAG SE. For key topics of the future, such as digitalisation and sustainability, the teams of our group of companies often set the standards for the entire industry. We build on this innovative power. It is an essential cornerstone for the continued competitiveness of our group on the market,” explained Thomas Birtel, CEO of STRABAG SE, at the STRABAG Innovation Day 2019. The exhibition at the ZÜBLIN Campus is divided into the topics Digital Building Process, Workshop & Construction Equipment, Operation & Products and Building Materials.
Broad range of topics on the ZÜBLIN Campus
In Stuttgart, STRABAG teams demonstrate the potential of building information modelling (BIM 5D®). They show, for example, how the planning process can be optimised with multi-site modelling, how virtual conferences can be used for joint decision-making and how model-based service entry contributes to efficient controlling. The STRABAG Digitalisation subdivision presents the possibilities of digital data acquisition and processing by means of drone surveying and mobile mapping (3D Mapping Services), demonstrates the advantages of building information modelling in transportation infrastructures and provides information on the systematic digitalisation of process sequences in road construction (Connected Construction Site 2.0).
Visitors to the exhibition will receive an overview of project partnering with teamconcept, for 25 years a guarantee at ZÜBLIN for the transparent and efficient planning and realisation of even complex construction projects. The STRABAG competence centre TPA GmbH presents its Innovation Paver, shows how the Surface Drone helps develop concepts for wearing courses with reduced rolling resistance and provides information on ClAir® Asphalt (NO2-reducing), LUMIPHALT® (luminous asphalt) and RUBBERBIT® (rubber-modified bituminous binder). The construction machinery experts from STRABAG BMTI invite visitors to their Workshop of the Future and STRABAG Property & Facility Services presents the humanoid robot BAGSTAR that can interact with people and can be integrated into a smart office environment.
