Innovative corrosion protection: ZÜBLIN and Geiger Bauwerksanierung establish a joint venture, capsys
16 July 2026
- Pooling of technological expertise in cathodic corrosion protection (CCP)
- An integrated approach combines tried-and-tested systems with modern sensor technology and digital analysis
The aim of the collaboration is to consistently further develop innovative and data-driven system solutions for the maintenance of reinforced concrete structures and to successfully establish them on the market. In doing so, capsys combines both partners’ long-standing expertise in planning, execution and technology.
As an independent system provider, capsys positions itself with an integrated approach that combines tried-and-tested CCP systems with modern sensor technology and digital analysis. The use of intelligent sensor technology enables the condition of structures to be continuously monitored. This allows for the early detection of damage and enables well-founded, data-driven decisions regarding maintenance measures.
The capsys system thus represents a forward-looking approach to corrosion protection that provides planning certainty and extends the service life of structures. At the same time, it makes an important contribution to resource conservation and cost-effectiveness in structural maintenance.
With the founding of capsys, ZÜBLIN and Geiger Bauwerksanierung are sending a strong signal in favour of innovation, partnership and sustainable infrastructure development.
*Cathodiccorrosion protection is an electrochemical method of protecting metal components such as reinforced concrete or ships from rust using an electric current. The process is used, for example, to prevent chlorides (road salt) from attacking the steel reinforcement in concrete, such as in car parks or bridges.

About Geiger Bauwerksanierung GmbH & Co. KG
Geiger Bauwerksanierung GmbH &Co. KG is part of the Geiger Group, which, since its foundation in 1923 with its headquarters in Oberstdorf (Allgäu), has developed into a diverse group of companies with around 3,600 employees and approximately 100 sites across Germany and Europe. The Geiger Group’s areas of expertise are based on the principle of the circular economy, which means that Geiger designs and builds, maintains and renovates, processes and recycles, all with a view to achieving as closed a cycle as possible. As recycling is not yet possible everywhere, Geiger also recovers and disposes of waste – though it does so with the utmost reliability and a strong sense of responsibility. The Geiger Group offers all these services as a one-stop solution to numerous clients in the infrastructure, property and environmental sectors.
