Controller pursuant to Art. 4 No. 7 GDPR is the respective group company of the STRABAG Group (hereinafter referred to as STRABAG) with which you are in contact and which would like to send you press information. The name and contact address of the respective group company can be found in the declaration of consent you have submitted or in the email signature in the cover letter.
If you have any questions about the processing of your personal data by us or about data protection in general, please contact our data protection officer and/or data protection coordinators (data-protection-de@strabag.com). In any case, you may also contact our group data protection team at data-protection-group@strabag.com.
Personal data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, your personal or professional details (salutation, title, first name, surname, areas of specialisation) and your business contact details (email address, telephone number) as well as any other personal data that you provide to us for a specific data processing activity.
We process your personal data for business purposes of the STRABAG group to send you press releases and invitations to events and – if you have provided your telephone number to us – to contact you by telephone. If you do not provide us with the information marked as required, we will unfortunately not be able to send you specific press releases and invitations. The provision of all other information is voluntary.
Where we process your data further in connection with events, we will provide you with additional data protection information separately before commencing the respective data processing.
We process your personal data as described below to send you information and invitations as part of our public relations work.
We process personal data to send emails to you containing press information on property purchases, property developments, construction progress on projects, property sales, tenancies, property management by the group, as well as company and group news such as strategies, innovation, personnel and awards.
We process personal data in order to inform you about events. This includes events such as trade fairs, construction site events, roofing and opening ceremonies, guided construction site tours, press conferences and other information events organised by STRABAG group. In general, you will receive invitations by email. In some cases, we may also contact you by telephone.
If you would like to receive our newsletter, we require your valid email address. In order to address you personally, we also ask you for your name and salutation.
The registration for our newsletter follows the so-called double opt-in procedure. This means that after registration you will receive an email asking you to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary to prevent unauthorized registrations using someone else’s email address. Registrations for the newsletter are logged as evidence according to legal requirements. This includes the storage of the registration and confirmation times, as well as the IP address. Likewise, changes to your data stored with the distribution service provider are logged.
The recording of the registration process is based on our legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR and serves as evidence of consent to receive the newsletter.
The newsletter is sent out based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a), Art. 7 GDPR or on the basis of the legal permission in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR in conjunction with § 7 (3) UWG.
You may cancel your subscription to our newsletter at any time, i.e. withdraw your consent. You will find a link to cancel your newsletter subscription at the end of each newsletter. If users have only registered for the newsletter and have cancelled their subscription, their personal data will be deleted.
Each newsletter sent is evaluated using anonymised statistical data. The evaluations relate only to the newsletter sent, but cannot be related to the individual recipients of the newsletter.
The system records how many recipients have opened the newsletter. The opening rate indicates how well the subject line and design of the newsletter have sparked the interest of the recipients. Based on these statistics, the sender of the newsletter can determine which subject lines or content are particularly effective and optimise future campaigns accordingly.
Furthermore, the click rate is recorded. The click rate shows how many recipients clicked on links in the email. This enables the newsletter sender to see which links or call-to-action elements work best in their newsletters. It also helps to measure the recipients' interest in certain content or offers and to make accurate adjustments.
Finally, the number of subscription cancellations among newsletter subscribers is also recorded. This allows the newsletter sender to analyse cancellation behaviour and identify possible reasons for cancellations. Based on this information, the newsletter sender can adjust their content or frequency to reduce the cancellation rate and increase subscriber satisfaction.
The statistics provide the newsletter sender with a comprehensive overview of the success of the email marketing activities. By analysing the results, the sender may optimise campaigns, better understand the target groups and ultimately increase the effectiveness of the email marketing.
The anonymisation of the recipient data is based on our legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f) DS-GVO. The interests are the same as the stated purposes of the statistical evaluations.
The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a) GDPR.
Within our company, access to the personal data is limited to the employees tasked with sending press releases or invitations to events or who require such access to design and implement specific data processing activities as part of their function. These are the representatives of the marketing and communications team.
The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a) GDPR.
We transmit your personal data to STRABAG SE and its affiliated companies, in particular STRABAG AG, Ed. Züblin AG, STRABAG Real Estate GmbH, STRABAG Property and Facility Services GmbH, so they may also send you press releases and/or invitations to events.
The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a) GDPR.
We only transmit your personal data to service providers we contracted for the provision of services or our IT systems.
The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR.
We only store your data for as long as it is required to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected or for as long as you have given your consent, unless there is another legal basis for continued processing, in particular statutory or contractual retention periods.
To exercise your data subject rights or to lodge a complaint in connection with the processing of personal data, you may contact our data protection officers and/or data protection coordinators (data-protection-de@strabag.com). You may also contact our group data protection team at data-protection-group@strabag.com.
Every data subject (natural person) has the following rights:
You may object to the processing of personal data for direct marketing purposes at any time without giving reasons; this also applies to profiling insofar as it is associated with such direct marketing.
If the data processing is based on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. Please send your withdrawal notice to pr@strabag.com. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
We will adapt the data protection information to reflect changes in functionality or the regulatory framework. We therefore recommend to review this data protection information at regular intervals. Where consent is required, changes will only apply based on your revised consent.
